Lionheart
Director: Fro Rojas
Lionheart is a narrative short film directed by Fro Rojas and photographed by Director of Photography Sherman Johnson. Filmed in Miami, Florida, the project stars Melvin Lima and Marc Macaulay. The story follows Max Rossi, a struggling professional boxer who is finally presented with the career-defining fight he has been waiting for. Just as his dream begins to materialize, he is confronted with a life-altering opportunity that forces him to reevaluate his priorities and choose between the future he has always pursued and a different path forward. Directed by longtime collaborator Fro Rojas, the film explores themes of ambition, sacrifice, and personal identity. Photographed on a RED camera with vintage Kowa anamorphic lenses, the visual approach combines expressive anamorphic imagery, naturalistic lighting, and an intimate camera style to reflect Max’s emotional journey both inside and outside the ring.
