Snickers “Snickers on Your Skin” is a commercial directed by Magnus Renfors and photographed by Director of Photography Sherman Johnson. Filmed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the campaign was created for the Russian market and presents a playful, exaggerated world inspired by luxury fragrance advertising. The film follows a fashion conscious traveler as he arrives at a glamorous coastal destination, only to find that everything around him is subtly off balance. From malfunctioning elevators and collapsing ice sculptures to awkward encounters with a cast of eccentric characters, the campaign uses surreal visual gags and heightened situations to create a comedic take on aspirational lifestyle advertising. Photographed on the ARRI Alexa Mini with Cooke S4 lenses, the visual approach embraces the polished aesthetics of a high-end perfume commercial while allowing reality to bend in unexpected ways.
