US Open x Jurassic World is a broadcast commercial directed by Ira Rosensweig for Wavemaker Creative and produced by Chad Tingle. Photographed by Director of Photography Sherman Johnson, the campaign was filmed in West Palm Beach, Florida, and features professional golfer Xander Schauffele. Created as a crossover between the US Open and Jurassic World, the commercial was built around a visual misdirection. What begins as an intimate portrait of Schauffele gradually expands into a much larger world, revealing the connection between the two brands. Shot on the ARRI Alexa Mini LF with Zeiss Supreme Prime lenses, the photography was designed to feel both personal and cinematic. The production worked closely with Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) to combine live action photography with visual effects, culminating in a large scale reveal that seamlessly blends practical photography and digital environments.
