Zumba “We Dance” is a branded film directed by Eduardo Whaite and photographed by Director of Photography Sherman Johnson. Produced by Octopustudio and filmed in Miami, Florida, the project was created to support ALS awareness through the unifying power of dance and community. Featuring real members of the ALS community alongside Zumba instructors and participants, the film combines personal stories with energetic dance sequences that celebrate movement, resilience, and human connection. Rather than focusing on limitations, the campaign highlights the ways people continue to engage, inspire, and support one another through shared experiences. Photographed on a RED digital cinema camera with Sigma prime lenses, the visual approach blends documentary authenticity with the energy and emotion of a live Zumba class. Naturalistic lighting, handheld camera movement, and an inclusive ensemble cast help create a film that feels personal, uplifting, and genuine.
